Clinic administrator support Full Time

An opportunity has arisen in the Performance Management Department for a Clinic administrator support.

The team requires an enthusiastic team member who is committed to having a positive impact on cancer patient pathways.

You will have had experience working within the NHS preferably within a cancer data environment.. You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Candidates must have Microsoft Office Suite experience. You will have good organisational skills and be able to communicate confidently with all levels of staff on a wide range of information

As a Clinical administrator support you will be responsible for completing, but not limited to, tasks such as:

Maintaining the tracking mailbox on a daily basis

Registering patients on the trust systems

Communicate effectively with all members of staff and external stakeholders

Maintain a good understanding of RTT and Cancer Standards

The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year. We are based in Manchester and serve a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around 15% patients are referred to us from other parts of the country.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • To work with the patient pathway tracking team and clinical colleagues to ensure that patients referred into the trust are registered on the day of receipt and scanned onto the Patient Administration System (CareFlow) and CW

  • To ensure that all mandatory information is accurately collected at source and liaise with referring Trusts regarding any outstanding patient reports as per Minimum Data Set (MDS) requirements

  • Maintain the designated mailbox that all new target refrerals and inter provider transfer forms are received i

  • Communicate effectively with all members of staff and external stakeholders, ensuring that a professional manner is maintained at all times

  • To provide support to ensure that the necessary proformas are completed and entered into the relevant electronic systems and the patient case notes

  • Work autonomously and as part of a team, to organise own workload and prioritise urgent matter

  • Good knowledge of Health Records systems and CareFlow.

  • Undertake any other duties as and when required

  • Take action in line with escalation procedures to ensure management are aware of any service issues or risks and concerns raised by a service use

  • Maintain a good understanding of RTT and Cancer Standards, and contribute to the compliance of all patient pathway targets

  • Work within all Trust policies appropriate to the role.
