Administration Assistant Full Time

There is an opportunity for the right candidate to work in our Oncology Critical Care Unit at The Christie Withington Site.

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, will have to gain an understanding of the data captured during a patient’s stay within our Oncology Critical Care Unit and ensure this data is validated again national standards.

The post is a 4-month fixed term opportunity, which would ideally suit someone looking for a part time first role in the NHS.

This is a short term 4-month project and the role is to mainly aid the collection of the ICNARC (Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre) audit. This project requires the successful post holder to transcribe data between our front end Critical Care system and our bridging software to enable an accurate quarterly audit submission to take place to the CMP (Case Mix Programme).

The successful candidate will receive the required training to complete these tasks and there is a level of flexibility as to how the 18 hours a week contract can be completed, this will be agreed before commencing in post.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration


  • To liaise with medical staff on Oncology Critical Care Unit to ensure daily ICNARC audit data is inputted into our mediCUS bridging system and submitted quarterly to the case mix programme (CMP)

  • Produce adhoc reports at the request of medical staff for audit purposes for the department of Anaesthesia & Critical Care

  • Receiving telephone calls/enquiries / emails and dealing with them in a professional, efficient manner.

  • Ordering stationary and paper supplies on NHS Supplies for Oncology Critical Care Unit CC

  • Clerical

  • Booking /Rearranging / CancellingOOCCU beds NHS and Private Patients where requiredto.

  • Organising all arrangements (pre and post) for the Advanced Life Support Course and supporting Acute Oncology Outreach nursing team.

  • Coding onto the Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre module for all activity in

  • Running off Levels of Care Reports from ICNARC

  • Data Validation/Recording

  • • Validating and correcting data on Metavision and sending out a monthly report on errors or omissions. Working with the OCCU staff to correct any errors

  • Validating and cleansing the Hospital Discharges on ICNARC

  • Recording activity data for CQUINS on OCCU delayed discharges and AKI

  • Recording levels of Care data for all Private

  • Producing a monthly OCCU activity report from Metavision clinical system
