About Our Client

My client is a logistics business that has several sites across the UK. This role is sitting within the team responsible for some of the key systems that they use therefore, they are looking for someone that has worked in an IT environment previously, with specific experience working in the back end of BlueYonder Dispatcher, which used to be Red Prairie. The team the successful candidate will be working with are a close knit team who are big on personal development. Because this is a relatively small team, you will get lots of exposure to new areas within the business which you can hopefully utilise in your future career plans.

Job Description

My client are looking for somebody to come in and support key stakeholders across the business with any issues that they may experience with the Dispatcher system. You will manage the internal support desk, resolve these issues and then help with other system changes elsewhere in the business. In parallel to this, you will get involved in continuous improvement projects, new implementation projects and help to configure, test and then promote to production. There may also be opportunity to get involved in requirements gathering when there are new changes that are required.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate must have experience in BlueYonder Dispatcher however, it may have been called Red Prairie or JDA at the time you used it. Whilst having someone with experience of the front end is great, my client require someone who has the technical understanding of how the back end works as well so that you can support and help resolve any technical issues. You must also have intermediate knowledge and skills within SQL as all of the reports in the system are written using this language. My client expect there to be a certain level of courtesy and understanding when responding to queries from the wider business therefore, this individual must have strong stakeholder engagement skills and the patience to help solve technical issues with non-technical individuals.
