You?ll be an essential part of the team as an IT Apprentice, responsible for working on an IT Helpdesk to resolve queries, installing VPNs and software, upgrade hardware, set up work stations and so much more to enhance your skills and reach your true potential! In this role, you?ll work towards your Information Communication Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Working on an IT helpdesk, dealing with IT queries over the phone and ticketing system. Install VPNs on request and encrypt company hardware before rollout. Provide reports from the helpdesk system cataloguing the status of current open tickets / closed tickets and resolve rate. Use standard troubleshooting tools when dealing with first-line issues such as online documentation, Windows Task manager and event viewer to determine and resolve issues that come in through the ticketing system. Setup new user workstations and environments which include a full setup of monitors and peripherals. Perform basic upgrades or part replacements on machines including swapping and formatting of Hard drives, RAM installations and Power Supply Replacements. Perform software installation and configuration, Operating System installation, installation of Anti-Virus Software and VPN configuration. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
