The Opportunity


We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join the Parliamentary Digital Service, Senior Management Team Admin Team. You will provide professional, proactive, and high-quality secretarial support and assist with a wide ranging responsibilities from :-



  • diary management of multiple Senior Director/Stakeholders

  • arrange meetings as directed, ensure attendees are invited and their attendance confirmed, book meeting rooms and ensure that appropriate documents (agendas, meeting papers etc.) are distributed in a timely manner

  • manage and prioritise incoming email correspondence for Directors, categorise and flag emails in the inbox as requested and follow up and coordinate responses as required

  • coordinate and minute boards and other group meetings as requested


What You Need


To be successful you will:-



  • proven secretarial and /or administrative experience of diary and inbox managment

  • excellent organisational skills with a methodical approach to prioritising work to meet conflicting deadlines.

  • good customer facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop good working relationships with staff at all levels and has proven understanding of service delivery

  • good demonstrable communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • experience of working effectively in a diverse and inclusive work environment.

  • the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK


About The Team


The Admin Team support the Directors within the Senior Management Team in the Digital Service this includes diary management, secretarial support and assisting them with their wide-ranging responsibilities. The Admin Team provide support to the wider department and are responsible for ordering stationery, arranging travel and managing lockers.
