A Lead IT Support Engineer is required to join an award-winning, critically acclaimed AAA games studio. This studio's philosophy for game development is all about treating people well to create quality entertainment that stands the test of time. They are a one-project studio that built their success by combining genre-defining gameplay and character-driven cinematic narrative with AAA production values. This is a truly exciting opportunity to work with an established studio on major AAA projects and well-anticipated releases.


The Role
As a Lead IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving 1st/2nd/3rd line support issues within the studio related to the project they are working on. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the game development team to provide technical assistance, maintain hardware and software systems, and ensure the smooth operation of the studio's technology infrastructure. You will also be leading/mentoring the support teams ensuring efficient task distribution. Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to the game development process.




Some of what you will be doing:

  • Overseeing the 1st/2nd line support team and IT function

  • Interacting with and providing support to the studio's development teams, addressing hardware, software, network, and application-related issues

  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to the game development process

  • Ensuring all tasks are completed within deadlines and quality standards

  • Supervising procurement of equipment and software licencing to support development practices

  • Lead and contribute to the studio's projects, including hybrid working implementation, office expansions, and hardware rollouts/upgrades

  • Maintaining and upgrading hardware, software, and network infrastructure to meet the studio's evolving needs

  • collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute technology projects, ensuring seamless system upgrades and deployments

  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures



Ideally, your skills and experience will include:

  • 1st/2nd Line Support

  • Jira Service Desk

  • Hardware/Software Support

  • Training and mentoring

  • Liaising with 3rd parties
