What you will be doing


We currently have an interesting opportunity for an individual to fill the role of Personal Assistant to our Chief Financial Officer and Team Administrator in the busy Finance team. You would be assisting personnel in London, Newcastle and Dublin.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PA/administrator to provide support to a team which is involved across all areas of the Club’s business. You will be reporting to the CFO but working with and building relationships with individuals across the Finance team and wider business.


This role requires a proactive, communicative, and smart individual who can support multiple activities and projects while also maintaining their own workload and day-to-day responsibilities. Candidates will have extensive office experience and will have experience handling confidential information and competing priorities.

Your main duties will include delivering exceptional administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer and to the wider Finance team.

Day to day this will involve:



  • Providing personal assistance to the CFO including management of diary, support with correspondence/email and liaison with colleagues and external stakeholders for the CFO.

  • Providing general administrative support to the team such as arranging, and note taking at, team meetings and team led project meetings, arranging the team’s international travel, processing the team’s expenses (online system), support with preparation of presentations, training materials, reports.

  • Preparing agendas and meeting packs for meetings such as the quarterly Reserving Committee; distributing/uploading documents; arranging the meetings; maintaining, circulating and following up actions and minutes.

  • Managing action trackers and following of actions for own team and those of the wider business, which might arise from committee meetings, board meetings, internal meetings etc.

  • Management of the team’s intranet pages.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships around the business.




Your profile



You will have:



  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Solid secretarial/administrative skills including minute/note taking.

  • Previous experience supporting senior executives in a corporate environment.

  • Excellent time management skills, being organised, efficient and able to manage own regular duties whilst responding to the needs of the CFO and the team.

  • Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and PowerPoint presentations.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • An interest in the business, solving problems and improving processes and ways of working.

  • A proactive and flexible hands-on approach.

  • A focus on achieving results and outcomes rather than just being busy.

  • A friendly and professional approach as a team player.

  • Discretion, being able to maintain confidentiality where appropriate.
