Due to growth and branch expansion, we are recruiting for an IT Specialist (Network) to join our Altrincham office, within our IT Infrastructure team.


You'll be a great fit if:



  • You have strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize and execute on multiple requests with demanding deadlines

  • You keep current with the latest technologies and best practices with regards to IT operations and security

  • You have working and technical experience with enterprise firewalls (including VPNs and traffic shapingYou have strong working experience of LAN/WAN networking infrastructures

  • You have experience with network switch equipment (HPE/Cisco Meraki

  • You have the ability to design and implement network solutions

  • You have the ability to troubleshoot network issues using packet analyzers

  • You can provide secure configuration and documentation of network equipment and architecture

  • You have working knowledge of VMWar

  • You have working knowledge of Microsoft 365/Azure services

  • You have an interest and working experience with physical and cyber security

  • You make complex technologies feel simple, developing trust that extends through and beyond the IT and Engineering organization


To be considered you need:



  • Managing a global network of firewalls

  • Managing Co-Lo data centre & DR site network

  • Experience in managing VMWare networking

  • Experience in managing managed switches

  • Strong ability to work to policy and maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Experience of working in a support team and being an escalation point

  • Enterprise Next Gen Firewalls

  • HPE Switches

  • Cisco Meraki WAPs / Switches

  • Experience with VMWare / Hyper-V

  • Network Storage (HPE Nimble / Alletra)

  • PowerShell

  • Windows Server 2016/2019/2022

  • Understanding / Working Experience with Backups / Disaster Recovery

  • Microsoft Azure Apps (InTune, SharePoint, Active Directory, Group Policies, Auto Pilot)
