IT Field Engineer Full Time

XC360 provides outsourced IT support solutions to companies in London and the South east. We are seeking an experienced IT Field Engineer to support our growing portfolio of customers.

XC360 is an established IT services business whose ethos is to provide quality IT services to its clients. We are subject matter experts managing all aspects of IT for our clients ranging from Managed Services, Cloud computing, Hardware and Software installations, IT Management and IT Strategy. The Role The successful candidate will provide customer-focused technical support to our range of clients working to agreed quality standards and service level agreements.

Key Technical Requirements

  • Installing and configuring servers
  • Installing and configuring workstations
  • Installing Internet connections
  • Installing networks
  • Patching cables
  • Installing printers / peripherals
  • Onsite trouble shooting, for all of the above
  • Document technical specifications and reports
  • Manage site schedules and timetables
Key Non-Technical Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Customer management and relationship building skills
  • MS Exchange/Windows/Office experience (MCSE / MCITP desirable)
  • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent organisation, task prioritisation and time management skills
  • Ability to complete tasks methodically, with an eye for detail
  • A proactive and multitasking approach.
  • Take personal ownership of callouts and support calls to deliver a permanent resolution.
  • Complete all required documentation correctly and accurately.
  • Complete all tasks to the very best of your ability using initiative to overcome hurdles.
  • To attend customer sites in order to facilitate repair/exchange on technical equipment
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, patient and should be a critical thinker
  • Should possess good logical skills and ability to prioritize tasks depending upon the emergency situations
  • Should possess ability to interpret technical issues through the non-technical description provided by their customers
Qualifications
  • MS Exchange/Windows/Office experience (MCSE / MCITP desirable) or evidence that they are working towards a certification or industry standard qualification
  • 5 GCSEs (ideally A* – C) or equivalent including Maths and English.

Additional Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • You must have a valid UK Driving license since you will be driving to off-site locations
