eBilling Administrator (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) Full Time

Role summary/purpose of job

This role, within the eBilling team is to assist with the manual upload of eBills and timekeeper data to the Firm's clients. Whilst we carry out the development work required to move to a fully automated billing process, we are required to ensure our invoice data is uploaded to our client’s systems accurately and in a timely manner.

Working with a variety of electronic billing systems, the role will be required to review prepare and upload time keeper data as well as reviewing invoices for compliance with client eBilling regulations and enter the time line detail provided for submission.

Our services are delivered in a way which supports the global nature of our firm and our clients, enables our fee earners to deliver exceptional service to our clients and to do that in a way which is efficient and effective.



Function Overview



The International Business Support and Global eBilling team is responsible for supporting billing teams throughout the Firm with all aspects of billing and related systems support. Working closely with the Finance Systems Support team, they are responsible for the development and implementation of billing systems.



Key responsibilities and deliverables



  • Understanding the eBilling systems used and how these work in line with our billing requirements/policies.

  • Reviewing invoices for compliance with client eBilling systems and regulations.

  • Preparing eBill files/manual submissions for upload to the Firm’s clients.

  • Dealing with queries that arise as part of the manual eBill upload process.

  • Ad hoc eBilling tasks, as required.




Key requirements



Essential:


  • Knowledge and experience of windows based packages such as Microsoft Outlook and Word

  • Proficient using Excel

  • Good numeracy skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational skills




Desirable:


  • Experience in a billing environment

  • Knowledge of computerised billing system

  • Previous experience in a finance function and/or a legal environment

  • Experience of ebilling systems/requirements/processes

  • Flexibility – able to work non-standard hours at short notice
