Technical Support Specialist Full Time

An exciting opportunity for a London Based Technical Support Specialist.


The role is based in the central London office of a leading global Law firm. This position is offered at a 6 month Fixed-Term Contract.



On a day to day basis you will:



  • Work under the operational supervision of the Technical Support Team Leader and reporting into the Customer Services Manager - Europe, the Technical Support Specialist Level III is responsible for providing office based technology set-up and support based upon standard operating procedures, including troubleshooting and resolving custom application, system or hardware issues.

  • Act as a project resource when directed and working closely with their local, regional and global peers to ensure seamless delivery of technology services and supporting the end user in conjunction with the Firm's strategic technology goals and initiatives.

  • Work independently for the most part, the Technical Support Specialist Level III will be accountable for providing excellent 2nd line/desk side incident, problem and request management support in accordance with documented processes; resolution of all escalated Service Desk tickets and associated customer expectation management.


The ideal candidate will:



  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, in a related field preferred.

  • Professional Certification and/or experience (e.g. MCSDT qualification) required

  • Knowledge of the ITIL environment and process essential

  • 3+ years experience in a desk-side support technician/analyst role, preferably in a professional services environment. Law Firm experience preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products

  • Knowledge of related problems with OS and registries

  • Advanced knowledge of time recording systems, metadata management systems, PDF converters, media players, document encryption and compression tools

  • In-depth understanding of AD including Active Directory role, Exchange, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN as it relates to desktop support activities
