What you'll do




As Security & Support Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for day to day oversight and management of Dorchester Collection infrastructure and the third party providers that deliver support for the physical and virtualized infrastructure.


You will also be looking after:



  • Supporting infrastructure - including Cisco & Meraki networks; Palo Alto Firewalls; Azure solutions.

  • Support Escalation – Reference point for 1st / 2nd line support team at the corporate office and international teams

  • Project Delivery – Support Dorchester Collection IT management in the delivery of new systems and projects to enhance infrastructure and security

  • Incident Management – Participate as required in incident management and response.

  • Compliance - Implement and maintain technical security solutions and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.

  • Collaboration with third parties, include providers, corporate IT team and regional IT teams

  • Systems Administration – Focus on infrastructure (physical & cloud), networking and security technologies

  • Contribute to the takeover and delivery of hotel projects internationally

What you'll bring





  • You’ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the team

  • You will have previous experience in an IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer or similar role.

  • You’ll bring a strong knowledge of service technologies including Microsoft Windows 2016, 2019, 2022 operating systems, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Exchange on premise, Exchange Online and Enterprise Certificates

  • You’ll have experience working with a mid to enterprise size business.

  • Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.

  • You have previous experience in configuration and administration of Palo Alton security features including Panorama, security policies, Wildfire, URL filtering, APP-ID, User-ID, Threat prevention, Site-site VPN, Global protect, and SSL decryption

  • You’ll have experience using virtualisation technologies (Vmware), strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, and a strong knowledge of cisco network technologies including routers, switches, and wireless access points and identity services engine

  • English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.

  • Any of the following industry certifications are an advantage: ITIL, MCSA/MCSE, CISSP certification, CCNA or Computing related degree
