Graduate IT Support Analyst Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team and put your skills into practice. This nurturing company has a track record of investing in its employees and is a leading independent books trader who work in the British, European, and Eastern book markets selling both online and in high street retailers. You will be working closely with the IT manager to support with the delivery and development of information and communication services. This will also include liaising with 3rd party providers as well as internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring the security and availability of business systems, assisting the IT Manager and Finance Director in implementing approved solutions or improvements, and coordinating system testing and development throughout the entire cycle.




Your main roles will include:



  • Manage the IT support desk.

  • Assist with ensuring appropriate network security procedures.

  • Aid with providing secure remote access to key systems.

  • Help manage the support of setup of hardware and software.

  • Assist with improvement or upgrade projects as required.

  • Provide system and security training.

  • Manage the database, including updating and interfacing to other systems.

Essential Skills




  • BSc in Computer Science/IT/Data Analysis, other relevant degrees will be considered

  • The ability to analyse large data sets

  • Excel (advanced level)

  • Knowledge of databases, software engineering and cloud technology

  • Analytical & problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to explain IT concepts to the end user

  • Rigorous and strong attention to detail with good organisational skills

  • The ability to analyse large data sets



Desired Skills




  • SQL (desirable)

  • Experience in thinking and handling multi-modal data (desirable)
