Systems Administrator Full Time

Responsibilities



  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows based operating systems.



  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to


optimize performance and reliability.



  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers, addressing any


issues that arise promptly and efficiently.



  • Ensure security measures and access controls are in place.



  • Perform routine system updates, patch management, and vulnerability


remediation for both Linux and Windows systems.



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy solutions that


meet business requirements.



  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for Linux


and Windows environments.



  • Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages and


configuration management tools.



  • Conduct security audits, implement security measures, and proactively


address vulnerabilities in both Linux and Windows systems.



  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users,


resolving Linux, Windows, and firewall-related issues.



  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to


maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.




The right candidate





  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Strong proficiency in Linux,


and good knowledge of networking, Windows Server, and firewall


management.



  • Good familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and networking


concepts.



  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.



  • Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Cloud)



  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose


and resolve complex system issues.



  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security


measures in Linux, Windows environments.



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to


collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.



  • Detail-oriented mindset and ability to document system configurations and


procedures accurately.
