The role


As PMO Analyst, your role is to provide specialist hands-on support and expertise across the delivery team. You will play a proactive role in supporting the PMO manager to apply standard programme and project management methods and tools/ ensure that processes reflect best practice and build on learning from project experience.


The Project Management Office is the nerve centre and information hub, coordinating support activities for the IT portfolio projects. Our PMO work on enabling a large portfolio of circa 40 projects a year and are the facilitators of innovation and new capability at INEOS Automotive.


Requirements



  • Provide PMO functions and services under the guidance of PMO Manager as required. services include support on governance, project communication and reporting.

  • Work with PMO Manager to ensure that effective PMO processes and controls are in place and adhered to, promoting standardisation, constant improvement and use of best practise.

  • Support creation and maintenance of new requirements and project backlogs in Azure devops, pulling together management information (OnePlan PPM) ensuring sufficient frequency, granularity, accuracy and insight to facilitate appropriate decision making.

  • Organise key governance, project meetings and provide secretarial support to the PMO manager in management of regular Project/demand board /Steering meetings, ensuring these are documented and that any resulting actions are actively followed up/ key decisions are captured.

  • Support portfolio risk and issue management, with proactive reporting of portfolio wide risks and issues using dashboard (Azure DevOps – ADO and One Plan PPM), ensuring all risks and issues are captured and tracked through to mitigation and closure. Working with the project team to identify additional risks/issues and developing plans to mitigate against identified risks/issues.

  • Programme delivery Assurance providing senior stakeholders with confidence that projects/portfolio is achieving their delivery objectives within the desired scope of time, cost and quality.

  • Support demand process – ensure process compliance/ track acceptance criteria sign off.


Qualifications and Experiences



  • University level qualification e.g., undergraduate and or post graduate degree in a related field e.g., business management, computer science etc.

  • Agile qualification e.g., Agile Project Management, Portfolio Management

  • A project Management qualification. e.g., P30.

  • Relevant portfolio management office experience and ideally, experience in an IT organisation or knowledge of IT function, as well as experience in activities that support project delivery.

  • Experience working with ambiguity

  • Azure Devops, OnePlan PPM, Microsoft Office suite e.g., PowerPoint, excel, SharePoint, teamwork

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player

  • Confident in dealing with management (up to Director level).

  • Proactive, able to act on initiative and hands on approach
