Venn Group are working with a well-established organisation based in London who are looking for an IT Support Officer to deliver support across the various departments and internal functions.


IT Support Officer


Duties:



  • Provide first line support both in person, by telephone and online on a rota basis

  • Monitor and respond appropriately to teaching room support calls, via online query system

  • Check and troubleshoot IT Services managed devices including network connectivity (selecting the appropriate services and tools e.g. Active Directory and Exchange Management Console

  • Take ownership of logged incidents (using the ASK enquiry system) and ensure enquirers are kept up to date on progress and appropriate follow up actions are carried out

  • Configure, maintain and deploy IT service managed devices using automated deployment utilities

  • Ensure complex cases and faults that cannot be rectified are escalated to the AV & IT Support Manager

  • Review the support notes and FAQ text and categories within the Query Resolution System


Experience:



  • Thorough understanding of first line support within a large, diverse and complex organisation

  • Understanding of AV and IT Systems and their application within a service environment

  • Competence in the use of Microsoft Office 365, Digital Telephony and Corporate Information Systems packages

  • Demonstrable proficiency of a Web-based call logging system

  • AV and IT troubleshooting skills

  • Higher Education sector experience is highly desirable


Day rate: £150 umbrella


Length: 3 months
