Assistant Deputy Manager – Nursery

Aktiva Nurseries are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Deputy Manager to join our growing team.

At our Highfield House Setting - recently awarded setting of the year 2026.

40 hours per week - Mon to Fri

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional looking to develop their leadership skills while supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in delivering outstanding care and education for children.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Leading and inspiring practitioners to deliver exceptional childcare.
• Supporting staff development through coaching and mentoring.
• Promoting high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance.
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Supporting nursery operations, occupancy growth, and customer experience.
• Taking a leadership role when the Deputy Manager or Nursery Manager are absent.

What We're Looking For

Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or above)
Sound knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
Experience in a nursery, room leader, senior practitioner, or similar role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passion for delivering outstanding outcomes for children
