Summary:

Looking for an experienced accountant with at least 4 years’ experience in practice to join our team as an Audit and Accounting Manager. The role has a wide variety of work that will see you handling a mix of auditing, accounting, business advisory. The role is expected to combine work from our Audit, M&A and Accounting department and will be client facing in all aspects.

The role may require working from client’s premises for audit. We are looking for someone who wants to take their auditing knowledge to the next stage and use this to help with Due Diligence and other matters with our Mergers & Acquisitions department.

In the long term, the role offers progression and growth for you with possible future development into niche roles and opportunities to sign up clients of your own.

Attributes required:

· Personable with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Experience leading and assisting on audit assignments from planning to completion for a diverse client portfolio

· A keen interest in delivering excellent customer service to clients

· Experience in managing staff and reviewing work in audit and accounting

· Ability to work to deadlines under pressure and be dedicated, enthusiastic and self-motivated

· Effective at delegating tasks to more junior members of staff

· Existing knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102, including section 1A, and FRS 105)

· Excellent IT skills and experience of using accounting software packages including Excel, MS Word, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks

· Working knowledge of Iris Accountancy Suite would be beneficial

Qualifications and Experienced required:

· Minimum of 4 years of working in practice.

· Minimum of Part Qualified with ACA or ACCA (also seeking qualified candidates)
