Summary

Location: Uxbridge, North-West London. Hybrid (2-3 days in the office per week).

Salary: £45k p/y

Hours: 11am - 7pm, Mon - Fri

Reports to: UK Finance Director

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust controls, and supporting month-end and year-end processes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance and provide reliable financial insight to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger, including preparation and posting of journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with external audits by preparing and providing supporting documentation
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
  • Prepare VAT returns and other statutory filings
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
  • Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to support management decisions
  • Partner with the UK Finance Director to continuously improve financial controls, processes, and reporting accuracy

Skills & Experience

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA preferred)
  • Experience in financial accounting or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting/ERP systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
