Management Accountant - London

Next Ventures is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team. You'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis across a multi-entity international group, supporting business performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts for UK and international entities.
  • Produce financial analysis and commentary for senior management.
  • Perform gross margin analysis and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Complete P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Calculate and validate commission payments.
  • Prepare and submit UK and international VAT returns.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Work with finance and operational teams to improve reporting and processes.

About You

Essential

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end processes, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and financial reporting.
  • Experience within recruitment, staffing, or professional services.
  • Understanding of contractor payroll, commission schemes, and revenue recognition.
  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.

Desirable

  • Experience with Access Financials and TSP.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or international business.
