Having been recognised by The Sunday Times as one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK, we’re looking for a Junior Finance Assistant.
Due to the office being on a rural farm location you do need to be a car driver.
The Junior Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations, ensuring transactional accuracy, and assisting with financial reporting. You will help maintain robust financial records, support month-end and year-end processes, and contribute to the overall financial integrity of the business as it continues to scale.
This role is ideally suited to someone who is eager to learn, proactive in their approach, and motivated to work towards professional accounting qualifications.
Key Skills & Experience
- Early-stage accounting experience (e.g. internship, placement year, or 1–2 years in a finance role)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable using financial systems
- Good understanding of core accounting principles
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices, expenses, payments, refunds, and receipts accurately and on time
- Assist with reconciliations across accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies
- Support month-end close and prepare documentation for audits
- Assist in producing management accounts and financial summaries
- Prepare basic financial reports, variance analysis, and support budgeting/forecasting
- Maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and financial models
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. FCA, HMRC)
- Support strong financial controls and documentation of processes
- Use financial systems to manage and extract data
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and support automation initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams and respond to finance queries
- Represent the Finance function professionally across the business

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
