Following a period of rapid growth, we are looking to add a new Technical Support Assistant to our team. The role will see the successful candidate working closely with our CTO and getting exposure to a wide variety of new systems and equipment. They will also be working with our Managing Director to support the marketing team where necessary.
As a fast growing business, we are looking for future managers and leadership potential. We recruit from within which means that the successful candidate will likely be on a management fast track as the business grows and we build out new business units.

The Role
This role is based at our headquarters in Amesbury, Wiltshire. While relevant experience is preferred, full training will be provided to the successful candidate. This is an entry level position with no requirement for a degree or higher education but both are welcome. We are looking for someone who wants to build a career in technical support with a fast growing dynamic business.
The role is extremely varied and most days will be very different from one another. You will get experience in a wide range of disciplines including IT, production, operations, marketing, events management, project management and more.
The role is divided into 9 core responsibilities which are as follows:
Technical Support (Primary) –
- Answering calls from prospective customers regarding products that they are interested in.
- Assisting existing customers with setting up their new products
- Offering technical support to customers for products that they have purchased.
- Delivering virtual training for new customers via Teams or telephone
- Responding to emails from new and existing customers regarding new or existing purchases
- Preparation of quotations where necessary
- Support other colleagues during absences, off-site events, meetings etc
Repairs (Primary) –
- Repairing faulty or damaged equipment where possible (Full Training given)
- Completing Repair Reports
- Arranging repairs and replacements with suppliers
- Assist in the creation of repair protocols for relevant products
- Visit client’s site to do repairs if necessary
Stock Testing (Primary) –
- Test new shipments of products when they arrive.
- Test select products when they are going out.
- Assist in the creation and/or management of Q/A processes for new products
Installations, Demos & Training (Primary) -
- Go to a client’s site to demonstrate a new product
- Install a product on-site for a client
- Provide training on a product for a client in-person or online
Technical Spec Writing (Primary)
- Write Product Listings on Online platforms
- Help develop manuals and technical documents where needed
- Write scripts for technical videos
Projects (Primary) –
- Work with the CTO on the development of new products
- Occasionally support colleagues with technical issues they may have
Product Content Creation (Secondary)
- Take photos of products for use in marketing material and websites
- Record footage of new products for use on social media
- Take part in marketing video as and when needed
Event Support (Secondary)
- Going to trade shows and events with other team members
- Demonstrating products at tradeshows and events
- Speaking with potential clients and generate leads
- Take part in content creation at events
- Film content at events
General Support (Secondary) -
- Work with the operations team to help get products ready for dispatch if needed
- Preparing products before dispatch
- General tasks to support colleagues as required

Preferred Experience –
- Experience using soldering irons or doing electronics repairs
- Experience in customer service or technical support
- A good understanding of computers, IT and the Internet.
- Experience with photography or videography
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
As we work with security and government departments, you would need to be able to pass an Enhanced DBS Check.
