Principal Radiotherapy Treatment Planning-Adaptive Radiotherapy
at Velindre Cancer Centre Cardiff in Cardiff (Published at 13-02-2026)
If the opportunity to play a key role in developments in Treatment planning as part of a multi-disciplinary team is tempting, then this new B8A role within the dosimetrist/Healthcare Practitioner workforce at Velindre could be for you.
We are looking for an experienced Treatment Planner to take up a new post dedicated to online Adaptive Radiotherapy and to work with the other Principal Healthcare Science Practitioners within the Treatment Planning team. Velindre Cancer Service is currently undergoing a period of major investment with the satellite centre recently opened in Abergavenny, and the transition to a new building in Cardiff (Summer 2027). At completion, there will be Ethos linacs in both sites, as well as a complete refresh of imaging and software systems.

- Leads on adaptive radiotherapy implementation by introducing best practice into the current workflow X
- Day-to-day management of the treatment planning workflow as part of a team
- The postholder develops their own skills to further advance the adaptive radiotherapy implementation
- Supervises, mentors and trains less experienced staff in adaptive radiotherapy planning techniques
