Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer / Installer to join our team.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding of fire and security systems across a range of client sites. This role is suited to an engineer who works to a high standard, understands compliance requirements, and can work independently when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, service, and maintain fire alarm systems
- Install and maintain intruder alarm systems
- Install and configure access control systems
- Install and support intercom systems
- Fault-find and diagnose issues efficiently
- Work with systems including:
- Paxton (Access Control & Entry)
- Hikvision (CCTV & Intercoms)
- Conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
- Ensure all work complies with relevant British Standards
- Complete job documentation and system handovers
- Deliver excellent customer service on site
- Work independently and as part of a wider team
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ prior experience as a Fire & Security Engineer or Installer
- Proven experience with:
- Fire alarm systems
- Intruder alarms
- Access control systems
- Intercom systems
- Experience with Hikvision CCTV and/or intercoms
- Strong fault-finding and commissioning skills
- Good understanding of UK fire & security standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Fire alarm commissioning experience
- IP networking knowledge
- Experience with multiple manufacturers
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
Work Location: In person
