Experienced qualified accountant with exposure to tax advisory
An excellent opportunity to join the expanding team of a boutique accounting and tax advisory practice in central London as an accounting manager.
Key points
- Ambitious post-qualification accountant aims to be admitted to the senior management of the firm in the mid term.
- Enjoy the environment of the fast growing boutique firm, and proactively manage client portfolio and junior members of the team.
- Manage a portfolio of high net-worth individual and corporate clients (owner managed SMEs) and take ownership of booking keeping, financial reporting, VAT and corporate tax filing, and personal tax filing.
- Regular reporting to management and clients.
- Manage and coach junior staff.
General work exposure
- Lead in financial accounting and tax compliance processes for clients
- Lead in tax return filing for individual and corporate clients
- Assist the wider team with tax-related advice and work alongside tax lawyers and external counsel.
- Participate in tax planning and advisory projects for clients.
- Provide support to managers in respect of client queries, compliance and advisory projects, including financial reporting, personal tax, trust and family office, corporate tax, cross-border tax affairs.
Requirements
- ACCA, ACA or equivalent qualified preferably in the UK, driven to work in a fast-expanding business.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping, financial accounting and tax compliance. UK experience highly preferred.
- A highly motivated individual with the ability to identify issues and use their initiative to solve problems.
- Good sense of responsibility, taking ownership of client work delivery
- Good attention to detail and communication skills
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaker is essential, must be able to read and write.
