About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role is open to candidates at all experience levels—from fresh graduates to highly experienced engineers. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, architectures, and data-driven solutions that support our business and technology initiatives.
This is a fully remote position, but applicants must be based in the UK and legally eligible to work without sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Develop data models, data warehouses, and data integration solutions
- Work with structured and unstructured data across various platforms
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions
- Optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Implement best practices for data security, data governance, and data quality
- Troubleshoot, refine, and improve existing data workflows and systems
- Support cloud-based data architecture and infrastructure initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–15 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools or ETL frameworks
- Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Databricks)
- Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and data architecture principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a remote environment
- Experience with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub)
- Knowledge of orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, or MDM
- Exposure to machine learning pipelines or feature engineering

Pay: £25,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
