About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role is open to candidates at all experience levels—from fresh graduates to highly experienced engineers. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, architectures, and data-driven solutions that support our business and technology initiatives.

This is a fully remote position, but applicants must be based in the UK and legally eligible to work without sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
  • Develop data models, data warehouses, and data integration solutions
  • Work with structured and unstructured data across various platforms
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions
  • Optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Implement best practices for data security, data governance, and data quality
  • Troubleshoot, refine, and improve existing data workflows and systems
  • Support cloud-based data architecture and infrastructure initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 0–15 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools or ETL frameworks
  • Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Databricks)
  • Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and data architecture principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a remote environment
  • Experience with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub)
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata management, or MDM
  • Exposure to machine learning pipelines or feature engineering

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
