Important note: This application form is specifically for clinicians who want to join The Centre for ADHD Research & Excellence as a self-employed Prescriber/NMP for our and are able to attend in-person training and sign-off events for 29th January 2026! - Dates to be confirmed!
Please note there are a limited number of spaces available. Invite to attend will be subject to successful application and requirements set out below:
Successful candidates will:
1. Submit all the required documentation (including DBS, professional registration, references, indemnity insurance)
2. Join 2 remote Care ADHD training sessions before the event
3. Come to our Canary Wharf office to complete the in-person training, and deliver your first (fully supervised) titration clinic
4. The event will include a breakfast meet and great, complimentary lunch in our fabulous atrium, and a friendly networking session at the day.
After successful completion of the training, and sign-off following your first titration clinic, you will be able to start providing clinics immediately!
You'll be well supported after sign-off by our Clinical and Associate Experience teams, and you'll benefit from ongoing supervision and training opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As an ADHD NMP, you will play a pivotal role in the titration process for clients seeking medical treatment for ADHD. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitor patient progress and compliance with ADHD treatment. Review ADHD monitoring forms to ensure treatment is being taken safely and adverse effects are identified and responded to in a timely manner.
- Prescribe ADHD prescriptions in accordance with NICE guidelines and CARE ADHD formulary.
- Conduct treatment reviews with individualised recommendations for treatment plans based on your findings.
- Collaborating with other members of the clinical team to ensure a seamless experience for clients.
- Providing expert guidance and support to clients throughout the titration journey, ensuring they feel understood and valued.
- Staying current with ADHD research and best practices, integrating this knowledge into your assessments and client interactions.
- Your expertise will not only enhance the quality of care we provide but also contribute to building a welcoming and effective environment for clients seeking
support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Respond to Clinical Enquiries:
- Prioritise and manage clinical enquiries from healthcare professionals, Cresco Clinic practitioners, CYPs and their guardians, providing timely, evidence-based advice on medication management, treatment options, and drug interactions.
Triage Medication Requests:
- Review and assess requests for ADHD medication to ensure they are clinically appropriate and safe, escalating complex or high-risk cases.
Support ADHD Treatment Pathway:
- Provide clinical support to children and young people undergoing titration or maintenance treatment, responding to queries, monitoring for adverse effects, and ensuring timely intervention when concerns arise.
Respond to Operational Clinical Enquiries:
- Support the wider Cresco Clinic team by responding to operational clinical queries that impact patient progression through the care pathway, working collaboratively to ensure seamless and timely care.
Prescription Management:
- Issue ongoing prescriptions for children and young people who remain under the care of the Cresco Clinic, including those for whom shared care has been declined. Ensure prescribing aligns with individual treatment plans and current clinical guidance.
Shared Care Coordination:
- Support the preparation and submission of shared care requests to GPs on behalf of the children and young people we work with. Track responses and assist in facilitating agreements to ensure continuity of care and medication access.
In addition, you will also have the opportunity to support with:
- Triaging: Review and assess requests for ADHD medication to ensure they are clinically appropriate and safe, escalating complex or high-risk cases.
- Prescription Management: Issue ongoing prescriptions for adults. Ensure prescribing aligns with individual treatment plans and current clinical guidance
- Shared Care Coordination: Support the preparation and submission of shared care requests to GPs on behalf of the adult we work with
Compensation:
- £37 per 30 min titration clinic held
- Triage - pay is £50 an hour with expectation of completing 3 to 4 an hour.
- Prescription - pay is £10 per script. These are logged on your prescription log and highlighted in yellow
- Shared Care - pay is £10 per SC. These are logged on your SC log and highlighted in yellow.
To thrive in this role you’ll need to:
We’re looking for someone who’s not just clinically skilled but also adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
You will also need:
- Be a Registered General Nurse, Registered Mental Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist (GPhC) with appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register.
- Hold a V300 or Independent Prescribing qualification
- Educated to degree level or above;
- Completed a Mentorship; Course/ENB 998 or equivalent for pharmacists experienced in providing supervision;
- Ideally, Clinical experience in ADHD or mental health with strong knowledge of ADHD medications and treatment protocols.
- Understand and are aligned to harm minimisation in drug treatment work;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and provide compassionate support.
- A collaborative approach—working well with multidisciplinary teams is key to our success.
- The ability to manage multiple assessments efficiently while working remotely.
- Strong report-writing skills with great attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset—comfortable with change, open to new ways of working, and eager to contribute to a growing service

️Our Hiring Process
We aim to make our hiring process as streamlined as possible.
1. Shortlisted candidates are invited to a Competency Call with our Talent Acquisition team - this will include a brief IT competency task
2. Successful candidates will then be required to submit all the required documentation (including DBS, professional registration, references, indemnity insurance)
3. Candidates applying for full time permanent roles complete an additional interview
4. Attendance of our ADHD Assessment and Diagnosis Training, in advance of Sign-off Event
5. Further training and shadowing provided at our in-person event in advance of your sign-off clinic.
6. The final stage is to deliver a supervised sign-off clinic where you will be approved (subject to evaluation / successful completion) for independent clinics
