ABOUT THE ROLE
The Tax Accountant will be primarily responsible for assisting with REIT compliance. This position will also coordinate with other members of the tax department to prepare direct and indirect tax returns as well as the corresponding income tax provisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Detailed review of quarterly and annual REIT compliance testing calculations and workpapers.
- Prepare/review dividend distribution analysis and related reporting.
- Prepare tax workpapers in support of tax return compliance.
- Prepare estimated tax payments, computation of taxes due, and reporting.
- Prepare tax account reconciliations.

Minimum Requirements
- This is a 100% office-based role in Central London.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of tax experience, ideally gained in an accounting firm or corporate tax department.
- Actively working towards ACA, ACCA, CTA, or a similar professional qualification — or a strong desire to pursue one — is essential.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with UK tax legislation.
- Working knowledge of accounting and general ledger systems.
- Basic understanding of tax principles and/or real estate taxation is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations.
