Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT support, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing exceptional customer service to our users. The IT Technician will be responsible for supporting both Windows and Mac OS environments, ensuring that all hardware and software components function optimally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms, including Windows and Mac OS.
  • Assist users with VPN connectivity and troubleshooting related issues.
  • Utilise ServiceNow and Remedy for ticket management, ensuring timely resolution of reported problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance on computer systems, including updates and installations.
  • Manage computer networking tasks, including setup and configuration of network devices.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and users to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Document all support activities in accordance with company policies to maintain accurate records of issues resolved.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and best practices in IT support.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies and troubleshooting methods.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or Remedy for incident management is preferred.
  • Proficient in both Windows and Mac OS environments; knowledge of Linux is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
