At NP Aerospace, you will specifically support the Vehicle Systems, Services and Spares (VSSS) Team and the global expansion of our military vehicle engineering and technical services operation. This part of the business specializes in complete vehicle integration and support solutions, including the Protected Mobility Engineering Technical Support (PMETS) contract which places NP Aerospace as engineering authority for the UK Ministry of Defence protected mobility fleet including Mastiff, Ridgeback, Wolfhound, Foxhound, Jackal and Coyote.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Engineers main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and take appropriate action to ensure all quality standards are achieved or exceeded.
- Conduct investigations using standard problem resolution tools and techniques.
- Drive key performance indicators for Quality.
- Conduct Product and Process Audits
- Conduct process surveillance to confirm adherence to written manufacturing procedures.
- Report and communicate Q-Status
- Conduct and document visual and dimensional inspection of Incoming / Outgoing products
- Conduct supplier on-site product & documentation approvals to support our progressive assurance and release source program.
- Review supplier documentation including FAIT, FAIR, PSW etc.
- Support / Lead APQP, FMEA PPAP and other QA processes

- Assisting and working in conjunction with contractual and customer requirements Interface with various levels within the business framework and Customer Quality Representatives, as required
- Implementing the response to customer feedback in a timely and appropriate manner
Leadership / Involvement of people
- Working to the Customer requirements and initiatives throughout the organisation
- Working with a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians

- Supporting production in monitoring QC
- Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members.
System and Process approach to management
- The controlled use of Inspection, Measuring, Testing and Calibrated equipment for verification and validation purposes
- Identification and Containment of Non-conforming Product
- Confirm product and accompanying documentation meets contractual requirements
- Conducting the NPA Internal system and process audit requirements
- Identification Implementation and Verification of effectiveness Corrective Action
- Root cause analysis of related product and process data
- Working to all relevant internal and customer acceptance criteria
- Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
- Assertive, resilient and can adapt to change
- Engage interest and participation of others with a collaborative approach
- Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision
Factual approach to decision making
- Assist with, and develop the analysis and performance of all relevant processes, product conformity and non-conformity data
Continual Improvement
- The identification and effective implementation of all relevant opportunities for continual improvement, from; the result of audits, customer feedback, process performance measurements, analysis of product conformity and corrective actions.
EXPERIENCE
- HND/HNC manufacturing/engineering preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Defence/Automotive.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Membership of an appropriate professional body would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of AQAP standards and associated Def Stans, Def Cons an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
