Artek is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support its Client team in managing daily financial operations. The role involves key responsibilities such as processing and reconciling bills in Xero and M8, managing purchase orders, conducting bank reconciliations, allocating project costs, preparing payroll, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring prior finance experience, proficiency in Excel and Xero, strong analytical and organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will support daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and transactions. Duties

· Monitoring Accounts E-mail

· Uploading & Processing Bills in xero

· Uploading & processing Bills in M8

· Checking purchase orders against bills

· Escalating any Bill/ PO differences

· Chase missing bills

· Bank Reconciliation

· Setting up and Assigning Jobs to Project

· Check Project Status

· Allocate Costs in Projects ( xero)

· Highlight if costs go over set costing levels (projects)

· Making bank payments to staff and suppliers via BOS Internet Banking

· preparation of the monthly/ weekly payroll through xero system

· Maintaining up-to-date payroll/ Leave & sickness records Xero payroll

· Presenting Finance reports at Company meetings.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in XERO or financial software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good analytical skills for interpreting financial data.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
