at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust Birmingham in Birmingham (Published at 09-05-2025)

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is proud to be Lead Provider of the West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative (WMCPC) - an integrated provision of specialist mental health, learning disability and autism services, for young people aged 12-18.

Here in the West Midlands - and across the country – those who need an inpatient admission experience either a long wait for a bed or are admitted to hospitals far from home.

We hope that by working collaboratively, using local data and listening and engaging with our service users, we will be able to reduce the number of young people admitted to inpatient services, drive down length of stay, bring care closer to home and ultimately improve the outcome and experience of every young person we see.

As a Case Manager for WMCPC, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service to ensure safe and effective care pathways are in place for all service users in the West Midlands Region specialised mental health, learning disability and autism care settings, within the NHS and Independent sectors.

To provide clinical support to the specialist commissioners in relation to the defined population, this will include projected mapping of future service use, identification of users for future service provision, planning in terms of future service needs.

The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service. The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery,

Contribute to the performance and quality monitoring process for providers, alongside Commissioning Managers to improve quality and outcomes for patients.

There may be significant periods where the post holder is required to work alone and be autonomous in decision making in clinical matters. This will involve negotiation with other mental health professionals at all levels.
