Junior IT Support Engineer – Full Time or Part Time | Essex-Based

We’re a well-established, Essex-based IT support company with over 17 years of experience supporting small businesses. Our team is friendly, down-to-earth, and committed to delivering high-quality service while maintaining a relaxed and respectful working environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing first-line IT support via telephone, remote access, and on-site visits
- Troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and software issues (primarily Windows and Microsoft Office)
- Assisting with desktop and server installations at client sites
- Supporting small business clients across Essex, so you’ll need to be able to travel independently
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage their time effectively
- Well-spoken with a confident, professional telephone manner
- Friendly, approachable, and keen to deliver great service
- A fast learner with a genuine interest in IT
- A driver with a full UK driving licence and your own car (essential for client visits)
Required Experience / Knowledge:
- Some hands-on experience fixing or troubleshooting IT issues (home, academic, or professional)
- Confident with Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Comfortable speaking with customers on the phone and face-to-face
Desirable (Not Essential) Skills:
- Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, routers, IP addresses)
- Familiarity with computer hardware, building PCs, or virtual machines
- Printer/scanner troubleshooting
- Awareness of data security and encryption basics
Working Hours & Benefits:
- Full-time position (Part-time applicants also welcome)
- Core hours: 09:00 – 17:30, Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekend or out-of-hours support (rare)
