We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated person with excellent communication skills to join our admin and clerical team as a Records Assistant in Medicine at Newark!
You will support the provision of a comprehensive, high quality secretarial and administrative service that is required for the smooth operation of this busy, friendly department. This post will be both challenging and rewarding and is fundamental to the delivery of an efficient service that supports the hospital and primary care.
The role is responsible for the filing of correspondence in patient case notes, tracking case notes in and out utilising the PAS system and the transportation of case note to agreed areas around the Trust.
The prompt filing of correspondence and investigation results in the patient case notes to support continuing patient care and thus avoiding clinical risk.
The prompt tracking in and out of case notes using the PAS system to maintain accuracy and completeness of all electronic records in accordance with Data Accreditation requirements.
To Transport case notes (and other documentation as instructed) appropriately and in accordance with the agreed Standard Operating Procedure.
To store/ file case notes appropriately in secure locations in accordance with the agreed Standard Operating Procedure
Ensuring adherence to the Trust's confidentiality policy.
To undertake other appropriate general administrative tasks delegated by the Patient Pathway Co-ordinator ( including as examples photocopying, enveloping)
