What you’ll be doing

Site Operations

As the Operations Engineering Manager, you will drive site strategy and manage all engineering and maintenance operations, from mechanical and electrical systems to energy management. You will champion health and safety, handle incident management, and foster a strong safety culture across the site. You'll oversee planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades while ensuring compliance and operational excellence in every aspect of our data centre.

Customer-Centric Leadership:
You will be the primary point of contact for customer service, building strong client relationships and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Coordinating with internal teams, you will manage communication around maintenance, provide timely reporting, and resolve issues swiftly to deliver a world-class customer experience.

Budget and Vendor Management:
You’ll have financial oversight, managing operating and capital expenditure budgets, identifying cost improvements, and collaborating with vendors to ensure service excellence. Your role also includes negotiating contracts and ensuring vendor performance aligns with our high standards.

  • Ability to connect and collaborate: You’ll be able to share your perspectives constructively and listen openly. Cross functional collaboration is crucial, because we understand that no one team is wholly responsible for building and operating a data centre.
  • Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills with expertise in BMS and CAFM systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, along with relationship-building skills.
  • Proven experience in managing teams, mentoring, and solving technical problems under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and management.
  • Formal engineering qualifications or equivalent, with experience in high and low voltage systems.
  • Skilled in budgeting, cost controls, and delivering projects in a managed service environment.
