We are looking for a Commercial Office Manager with a passion for customer service to oversee the conference and events sales office.


THE ROLE


As our Commercial Office Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following task to the highest standards:


· Manage the Reservations, Conference and Events office to actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales.


· Implement high quality system standards and booking procedures in the office.


· Interact frequently with customers and guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships to repeat and expand business.


· Lead the office to maximise all revenue opportunities, for all commercial departments.


· Review business plans, identify gaps and ensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet set targets.


· The office manager will be expected to effectively support the commercial office on pricing, distribution, and inventory of the hotel


· Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel.


· Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead of the local market.


· Engage with all departments within the hotel to ensure upselling is encouraged at every stage of the customer journey


· Ensure the Reservations, Conference and Events office is managed effectively and generate a culture of high-quality standards.


· Carry out quality training and coaching for the team as an office manager, managing and developing the team.


· Organise and implement hotel promotional activities.


THE PERSON


We are looking for someone who;


· Has held an office manager role previously or has supervisory experience in Reservations or Conference and Events sales within the hotel sector.


· Has strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the office.


· Has analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges.


· Excellent selling capability and ability to coach selling techniques.


· Strong organisational and planning skills.


· Ability to work well under pressure.


· Commercially driven with a passion, enthusiasm and drive for revenue, sales and achieving targets.


· Knowledge of Opera PMS and Sales and Catering Is desirable, however full training will be given.

Job Type: Full-time


Salary: Up to £32,000.00 per year
