Base Location: Inverness


Salary: £28,831 ? £35,194 depending on experience + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.


Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available


Our Department:


Our SSEN Distribution Operations teams are responsible for keeping the lights on; we are at the front line on the Network. If we find a fault, it is our responsibility to respond to the fault, and dispatch our skilled teams to fix it as quickly as possible. We work in all hours, and through all weathers, ensuring our customers are never without power.


Our Role:


We have an exciting opportunity for a Wood Pole Linesperson or Jointer to join our team based in Inverness and the surrounding areas. In this role, you will have a number of responsibilities:



  • You'll carry out construction and repair work of LV electrical plant and equipment from 11kV up to 33kv.



  • You will be responsible for the safety of yourself and colleagues.



  • We are required to respond quickly to emergency situations; we want to provide the best possible service to our customers in their time of need.



  • To undertake standby duties, working outdoors in all weathers in different locations around Scotland.


What do I need?


To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:



  • Industry recognised Over Head Line or Jointing qualifications LV, 11KV & 33KV.



  • Qualification from a recognised training school; experience or qualification in 11kV; Live Line work is highly advantageous however not essential.



  • Proven track record in construction, repair and operation of electrical plant and equipment.



  • Full UK driving licence.
