Inbound Customer Service Advisor


Location: Sunderland


Start date: 6th June 2022


Salary: £20,592


Shift: 5 Week Rotational Shift Pattern between the hours of 8am - 8pm Monday - Friday & 8am - 2pm Saturday

We are currently recruiting for an Inbound Customer Service Advisor based in our Sunderland call centre on behalf of one of the UK'S leading energy companies.

This is an office based role.

The Role


You will be working on behalf of our client; an integrated energy company based in the United Kingdom, with operations spanning electricity generation and the sale of gas and electricity to homes and businesses throughout the United Kingdom. It employs 13,331 people and handles 5.7 million customer accounts.


This is the perfect role for someone who likes a challenge. As a customer service advisor you will be the first point of contact helping customers via phone with their energy accounts. In a challenging time for the energy market you will feel good knowing you have helped your customers and made a difference to someones day. You will be given full training but a background in customer service, call centres or a strong customer engagement background within retail is desired. You must also strive to deal with all customer complaints at the first point of contact ensuring customer satisfaction wherever possible.

What we are looking for



  • A background in customer service, contact center, sales or retail roles

  • The ability to be understanding and empathetic towards our customers

  • Experience handling sales/complaints is desired but not essential

  • The ability to follow rules and procedures

  • Great people skills and team working ethic

  • The will to learn and grow
