Vehicle Assembler

Hague Personnel are recruiting a number of Vehicle Assemblers for our award winning manufacturing client based in Darwen.
This is a great opportunity to join a market leading manufacturer of temperature controlled commercial vehicles.
Their customers include some of the largest supermarkets and food distribution companies in the UK.
General duties to include:
- Working in a fast paced production environment
- Use of Hand, Air and Power tools (Impact Gun, Saw, Riveter, Jigsaw, Grinder)
- Measuring to precise MM
- Reading of technical drawings
- Fitting of fixings, racking and tail lifts
- Finishing
- Assembly of panels and fixings
- Working under vehicles
- Use of sealants and silicone
- Manual labouring
- Use of glues and resins
- Fibreglassing
- Manufacturing of bases for commercial vehicles
- Prepping chassis
- Bolting chassis
- Machine Operating
- Adhering to health and safety (Including Covid procedures)
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy
Please note duties will vary dependent on site and department.
There are 2 shifts available as follows:
Fixed Day Shift - Monday to Thursday 6am - 4pm
Fixed Night Shift - Monday to Thursday 8pm - 6am
39 hours per week, overtime is paid after 39 hours. Time and half Monday to Saturday and double time on Sunday.
Pay Rates:
Day Shift - Basic Rate £9.20 per hour
Overtime Monday to Saturday £13.80 per hour
Overtime Sunday £18.40 per hour
Night Shift - Basic Rate £10.63 per hour
Overtime Monday to Saturday £15.95 per hour
Overtime Sunday £21.26 per hour
Duration
12 weeks paid through Hague Personnel with a view to lead to a direct contract with our client on week 13 (providing you have picked the job up and have good attendance / timekeeping)
Interviews will be held in Haslingden.
Immediate start available for the successful candidates.
Previous experience using tools is essential to be considered. Further training will be provided.
