Job overview

Field Technical Support Officer, supporting all off sites within the SRFT Estate.

This post is to act as a frontline Field technician working within the Digital Technical Support team. They will be expected to operate within SLA/OLA standards agreed by the Digital Department with the rest of the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for communicating IT issues to both Trust staff and external suppliers. Responsibilities range from the administration and implementation of network communications, to user system fault-fixing and installation. The post carries additional responsibilities for security, and work quality assurance. The technical services team is concerned with the specification, procurement and installation of systems to meet user requirements and to provide a continual maintenance service, ensuring that systems perform to user requirements.

Essential criteria

  • Higher National Diploma or equivalent in an IT related subject or relevant experience

  • Evidence of continued personal development

  • Previous experience in IT and technology fields

Desirable criteria

  • ITIL Foundation
