We are looking to recruit a Administrator to join our Trade Management and Treasury Department until August 2022. The team provide administration activities which support trade settlement in the market and accurate start of day positions for our client. This support includes:



The Middle Office department exists to provide administration activities which include supporting trade settlement in the market, identification and processing of income / corporate action events in the market and accurate feeds to the accounting platform for the purpose of NAV and Start of Day deliveries.



This support includes:


  • Trade capture across Securities, FX and Money Market products

  • Trade matching via electronic platform and manual confirmations

  • Trade settlement

  • Event Capture

  • Event processing with accurate and timely settlement

  • Cash and Stock Reconciliation

  • Client, Broker and Custodian Reporting
  • Cash Management

  • Data creation and maintenance

The department is responsible for the above client service in relation to securitised products including equities, bonds and unit trusts, cash products including FX, money market and loans and Derivative products including ETD and OTC.



Key Responsibilities:



Client Service Delivery and controls


  • To ensure a high quality client service is delivered to all clients through the following:

  • Mailbox management and completion of workload allocated

  • Support to Senior Administrator in preparing for client calls
  • Attendance on client calls where requested

  • Ensure the service level provided by the team adheres to the Client Service Delivery agreements

  • Strong understanding of department KPIs

  • Strong understanding of KPIs outwith department where the team have a direct impact eg NAV/SOD

  • Good knowledge of the services outlined with the client SLA relevant to the department

  • Accountability for own performance to ensure deliverables met accurately and on time

  • Ensure adherence to core standard operating models

  • Support monthly procedure review by updating procedures assigned by Senior Administrator to ensure any changes for that month are incorporated

  • Accountability for PACT update as per allocation agreed

  • Good understanding of any new models introduced as a result of client onboardings

  • Build strong, professional relationships with clients and be an ambassador for BNP Paribas

  • Professional written and verbal communication at all times

  • Proactive engagement in meetings/calls

  • Collaborative approach across BNP Paribas locally and globally

  • Develop internal stakeholder relationships with the wider team as well as general business support
  • Professional written and verbal communication at all times

  • Inititate face to face interaction

  • Collaborative approach within BNP Paribas locally and globally to achieve common goal

  • Support external counterparty relationships, providing feedback for performance reviews e.g. brokers and custodians

  • Proactive updates to TPRM log on an ongoing basis

  • Support to TPRM and TPRM rep community to ensure accuracy of performance feedback


Continuous Improvement & New Business


  • Proactive generation of ideas for improvements to systems and processes in support of client requirements and BNP Paribas Securities Service strategic objectives

  • Proactive updates to opportunity tracker on identification of idea

  • Accountability for own ideas, escalating where required to gain traction

  • Support the development and implementation of such improvements
  • Actively work to reduce Non STP processes

  • Monthly objectives review in conjunction with line manager

  • Involvement in the design and implementation of resilient processes/ systems to support new/changes to business products including mandatory changes to market/governance and regulations

  • Support MOOBT team by performing any required assistance in UAT testing

  • Proactive SME feedback on new/changes to processes/systems

  • Be a subject matter expert in your team, striving to build on knowledge on a continuous basis
  • Identifying own areas for development and take proactive action to source training


Risk Management


  • Ensure adherence to the risk and control framework, including team and departmental procedures, managing risk effectively and efficiently within the team

  • Daily completion of relevant tasks on the checklist throughout the day

  • Accountability for checking own work is completed accurately and on time

  • Adherence to correct escalation framework/matrix

  • Accuracy ? focusing on getting it right first time

  • Accountability for reviewing own work before passing for checking

  • Support Senior Administrator in identifying and closing any error trends/gaps

  • Amend any rework and identify ways to avoid going forward.
  • Support business contingency plans as required
  • Support testing through attendance at site or coverage in office

  • Support testing across locations (ERS)
  • Ensure that internal and external audit/compliance/risk requirements are met

  • Preparation and provision of documentation requested

  • Attendance at audit sessions where requested to share SME knowledge

  • Support management in addressing any recommendations to ensure closure

  • Create and actively own PDP on About Me

  • Ownership of actions and updates to PDP plan

  • Preparation for 1-2-1 sessions with line manager

  • Collaborate with line manager to source support needed to work towards objective

  • Proactively seek out opportunities for training courses and submit requests to attend following line manager agreement
