We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, consistently ranked in the top 5 in

university league tables, for someone with a passion for Nuclear Engineering.

Educated to PhD level in Polymer Science, Bioengineering or related discipline, you will have knowledge of scientific writing,

materials for biological applications, composite materials and micromechanics.

You will design and deliver teaching courses, which will include preparing teaching material, communicating subject matter,

and encouraging critical discourse to develop rational thinking.

The area of Polymers for use in Bioengineering is a strategic area for development within the department, which is looking

towards addressing the science and engineering behind the societal and economic challenges posed by the use of these

materials. This will complement the world leading expertise present throughout the University in the area of polymers and
