Housing and Support Worker ? Bridge it Housing

Bridge-It Housing provides housing and support to families, single males and females. We do not discriminate by race, colour or religion and see each client as an individual with the ability to turn their life around given the right support.

We believe our support should give each client no matter their background or issues, the opportunity to make a fresh start, progress to a more independent lifestyle, develop social networks beyond our scheme and re-integrate with their local communities.

Our Housing and Support workers are at the front of that support.

Responsibilities

· Provide a housing related support service for Bridge-it-Housing UK Team Ltd clients

· Assist clients to identify clear routes to basic services that are available according to their individual circumstances with the support of individual risk assessments

· Providing advice and support on, or liaising directly with agencies relating to Benefits; Training; Education; Health; Employment; and Community Involvement

· Build on existing relationships with local housing providers and landlords, to provide the Company's clients with housing appropriate to their needs

· Assist clients to access and integrate with cultural/faith communities and assist and encourage clients to make contact and develop networks with people

· Enable clients to develop the capacity to become tenancy ready and succeed at independent living, including budget planning to prioritise rent payments

· Help clients ensure that they have copies of all necessary documentation relating to national insurance numbers, bank accounts, and refugee status (if applicable)

· To provide any other support as deemed appropriate

Manage Service Delivery

· To assess and identify with the client, their needs, and plan support services accordingly

· To monitor the clients progress, and amend support provided as required

· To manage your case load of clients

· To work with other members of the support team to provide a seamless end to end service to our clients

Manage Bridge-It Housing Properties

Here at Bridge-It Housing UK we have a unique style of providing accommodation for our clients, staff are therefore expected to:

· Support clients in ensuring their personal, communal and external space is kept in good order, this may include demonstrating expectations

· Monitor, on a regular basis, the clients within Bridge-It Housing properties to ensure their health and safety are properly maintained

· Conduct regular spot checks, whilst feeding the outcome back to the Team Leader, making sure any necessary repairs are done in a timely fashion

· Vacating properties when required, providing a deep clean of the property after a client moves on

· Preparing properties and rooms for new clients, maintaining Bridge It Housing standards

Salary: From £18,000.00 per year
