The role


The University of Bristol?s School of Arts seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Television commencing 1st October 2021, or sooner if possible.


What will you be doing?


You will contribute to the Department of Film and Television?s very successful BA and MA programmes in Film and Television and its existing strengths in film and television theory, history, criticism, and film practice. You will have considerable experience of teaching television studies at HE level and be well informed regarding key industrial and policy developments in television industries and will have a strong research track record in more than one of the following areas: television form, style and aesthetics, television history(ies), television genres (fact or fiction), writing for television, programme development and production. An international focus beyond the UK is welcome.

The successful Senior Lecturer candidate will have built up a strong profile, demonstrable through their teaching, research projects, grant capture, and publications, and will have clear plans for future research and grant capture. The successful Lecturer candidate will have a track record of high quality publications and will have clear and realistic plans for future research and grant capture.
