Job overview


We are looking to recruit an extremely professional, conscientious, calm and confident individual for our Administration Team in Staff Support Services. The Post Holder would provide administration support to the service, which offers clinical intervention to all front line workers including social care, voluntary agencies and care home staff; as well as offering a specific service to staff within Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job


You must possess excellent time management skills, a positive approach and be able to remain calm under pressure as the working environment can be very busy. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to confidently and sensitively deal with telephone calls from individuals who may sometimes be distressed or upset. The successful will have experience in supporting the team from a strategic perspective and will offer direct line management to junior colleagues.



You will need to be able to demonstrate the strength of your communication, prioritisation and administration skills at the same time as showcasing your knowledge of IT systems; particularly excel. You will be able to evidence a flexible response to service needs and the ability to think creatively. Experience of working to deadlines, on your own initiative and maintaining strict confidentiality are also essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust within the Staff Support Services. This is a new initiative supporting front line health and and social care staff across Norfolk and Suffolk.



You will be a part of a Multi-disciplinary Team who predominantly work remotely. This team prides itself on inclusion and compassionate focused support for those that we deliver interventions to, but also to the team members themselves.



The successful candidate will be an integral part in establishing the service delivery going forward.

Providing Senior Administration Support to The Staff Support Services.

Essential criteria:



Previous administration experience, use of ICT applications/packages. Experience of working in a busy environment. Diary management, minute taking and extensive knowledge of all Microsoft packages.

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.



This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
