Cleaning Supervisor Full Time

This position is Monday to Friday, 12PM to 8PM; the successful candidaate will be supervising a team of 30 people in a very dynamic and supportive working environment.

Job Purpose

  • To manage a team of cleaning operatives & Porters to deliver a specific standard of cleaning, to client specification
  • To be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the cleaning operatives within your specified team.

Accountabilities or ?What you have to do?

  • Undertake all required training in relation to all aspects of the cleaning service delivered to the client, as requested.
  • Undertake specific training on the relevant cleaning offer
  • Wear the company uniform at all times whilst at work
  • Wear any items of personal protective equipment, as specified by the manager
  • Comply to all client policies / procedures in relation to housekeeping/infection control/ security
  • Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to, as specified by the cleaning manager
  • Conduct all required training with cleaning operatives in relation to operational/ legal / client / cleaning offer requirements
  • Ensure that all cleaning operatives adhere to the site/cleaning offer colour coding police
  • Ensure that all requirements of the specified cleaning offer, are carried out, as directed by the Front of House Manager
  • To attend to all faults in relation to cleaning machinery/equipment.
  • To report all building defects to the Front of House Manager / client
  • To deliver staff team briefings, as required
  • To attend team / client meetings, as required
  • To collate information in relation to payroll, as required.
  • To complete all administration, as specified by the manager
  • To liaise with the specified client contact, as directed by the manager
  • To manage the ordering and distribution of cleaning consumables
  • To undertake cleaning audits in relation to service delivery / offer compliance, as requested.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or ?What it will look like when you are doing the job well?

  • No justifiable complaints from building users / client staff within your scope of works
  • Pass mark achieved in cleaning quality control audits for all areas within the specified scope of works
  • No issues and concerns highlighted in relation to health and safety
  • All staff trained to the required standard
  • All aspects of the relevant cleaning offer in place and updated as required.
  • All faults and defects addressed within agreed timescales
  • All administration completed within agreed timescales
  • Zero errors on payroll data submission

Knowledge, skills and experience Essential

  • Experience of the undertaking of all cleaning tasks
  • Computer literate
  • Basis numeracy / literacy skills

Desirable

  • Supervisory experience of a large team
  • NVQ
  • BICSc COPS
  • BICS Assessors certificate

Contextual or other information

  • To attend to any reasonable management request
  • To assist other team members to ensure all work duties are carried out to the specified standards
  • To be flexible to cover holidays and absence

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £21,528.00 per year
