We are recruiting to both permanent and temporary HR Advisor roles across our People Services in the following teams:


Our Teams


Service delivery ? Council


Responsible for providing professional solutions and outcomes focussed advice to services across the Council. You will focus on supporting a Directorate, developing your knowledge of different services and teams and their business needs, supporting delivery of key HR activities which will include employee relations matters, attendance improvement, performance management, investigations as well as supporting change and transformation programmes.

Service Delivery - Schools


Our experienced team provides high quality customer focused HR advice and support to over 130 schools and academies across Kirklees. We work with schools to provide innovative and creative solutions to workforce issues including advising on change programmes and case work. Inevitably the support we provide will vary in degrees of complexity.


As a traded service we pride ourselves on our trusted relationships and educational expertise, including the application of teaching and support staff terms and conditions. We operate on a solution focused basis as we understand the impact our services have on supporting schools to deliver the best education for children across Kirklees.


You will need to be confident to work with a variety of different audiences and the ability to use your own initiative. In this role you will focus on supporting change programmes and casework ranging from grievances and disciplinary investigations, conduct, performance management and attendance improvement. The work also involves supporting the delivery of HR related briefings and the CPD of staff teams.


Your role


You will provide business focused advice in line with strategy, policy, employment law and good practice and will also support broader HR projects.


You will either have or be working towards CIPD qualification or you will need to be able to demonstrate equivalent experience. Your technical knowledge will be supported by strong communication and influencing skills and the ability to build relationships quickly. You?ll need core HR skills, and you might have some specialist experience or passion for key areas of work for example attendance management, TUPE, investigations, or have experience in sectors such as schools, social care or environment focused services.
