IT Apprentice Full Time

As part of our continued growth, the opportunity has arisen for an IT Apprentice based in Leicester.

Key Purpose

We provide support for over 1,200 users covering multiple sites located throughout England and Scotland. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, an excellent phone manner and be confident under pressure.

The successful candidate will be working alongside our three existing IT Support Engineers offering 1st/2nd line support and they will gradually take over the ongoing maintenance of our internal Contact Centre client manual WordPress website.

On the job training will be provided by means of mentoring and guidance from senior members of the team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide end user support both over the phone and in person.
  • Log, prioritize and take ownership of tickets until resolution.
  • Maintain and manage the client service centre manual website and develop its functionality in collaboration with the Client Service Centre management team.
  • Provide end user training on new products and devices.
  • Set up new user accounts, profiles, and Exchange mailboxes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows workstations/laptops, printers, and other devices.
  • Maintenance of our IT Asset Register
  • Install and configure operating systems and applications.
  • Configure IP phones

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic network troubleshooting skills
  • Configuring Microsoft Windows 10 operating systems
  • Microsoft Office 365 (particularly Excel)
  • Experience of configuring workstations and laptops.
  • Previous experience of designing WordPress websites or a passion for web design is advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5x GCSE?s grade A-C
  • A valid UK driving license is desirable but not essential.

In return Bellrock are offering a competitive salary. Working hours are Monday - Friday based on 37.5 hours per week and 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays.
