Children's Support Worker
We have an great opportunity for support workers in the Wolverhampton area.
The company specialises in supporting children aged 8-17 in residential care with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

With three homes open within the Wolverhampton area currently, the company are continuously looking to expand and will be opening up more homes in the near future. This is the perfect time to join the team if you are looking for a role with career progression opportunities!

This is a permanent position that will require weekend and evening work on a rota basis to ensure the children are looked after at all times.
Staff are rostered on a 2 on 4 off basis, covering shifts of 12 hours.
Sleep in's are paid at £50 per night

We are looking for friendly, hardworking and above all passionate individuals that will help make a positive impact on the children in the home.

-Ensuring shifts are planned with all staff, to take the lead on shift and be responsible for the events on the shift
-To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
-To communicate effectively with the team of staff coming onto shift ensuring that a thorough account of your shifts events has taken place
-To provide written reports and documentation that truly reflects the progress of the YP for planning meetings/reviews
-To set up, co-ordinate and review the children's files, Care plans, Risk Assessments, Behaviour Management Plans, Health Care Documentation, Agreements and Incentives
-To undertake any training that is deemed appropriate to your position
-To attend staff meetings and be a positive role model to the children at their meetings
-To be able to address standards of behaviours from children, in a calm non-confrontational and constructive manner.

Essential Requirements:
- NVQ 3 in Children & Young People's Workforce
- Full Driving License with access to own transport
- Ability to work shifts and sleep-ins
-Must be over the age of 21 (Regulatory requirement)
-1+ year's experience as a senior/team leader in a children's residential home
-Experience in supporting children with EBD
