Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer Full Time

Salary: Up to £24k Depending on experience

Location: Full remote working/Hybrid/Office based (Sheffield)

Clients include major Hollywood studios and streaming services, like Disney, Netflix, NBCUniversal, Paramount, Facebook, Sony, and HBO, among others.


ZOO offers the end-to-end services needed to securely create digital distribution packages in all languages and for all distribution platforms; services include dubbing, subtitling and captioning, audio description, metadata localization, artwork localization and media processing.

We've experienced high demand for our services during the pandemic and grown substantially over the last Year. Due to further growth in the business, we are now looking to hire an Apprentice Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing company. This recruitment phase almost doubling the R&D team in the last year.


Position:

Responsibilities:


  • Work collaboratively with developers, QA and mentors

  • Estimate, prioritise, plan and execute testing activities

  • Create detailed, easy-to-read test documentation

  • Identify, record, document and track bugs throughout testing

  • Perform thorough regression testing

  • Research new testing tools, technologies and test strategies

  • Provide input and follow QA processes and procedures

Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills


Essential


  • Possess good critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Ability to report to management and mentors

  • Ability to assess quality of products, highlighting improvements

  • Ability to interpret the needs of end users, and helping to design products to meet those needs


Desirable


  • Experience in a commercial testing role in Web based environments

  • Experience in analysing and providing feedback on UI designs and technical requirements

  • Test planning and execution

  • Developing test documentation and bug reports

  • A full understanding of the project life cycle
